HamsasĀ (singular: Hamsa) are tattoos that come in the form of a pair of eyes, one marked on each palm of the bearer's hands. They only appear on revenantsĀ and are a key factor in distinguishing them from regular chimaera.
Usage
Hamsas are used as a weapon against seraphim, which weakens them. Even soldiers trained to resist their effectsĀ are not entirely immune.Ā
Trivia
- Hamsas are based on and named after the hamsa,[1] a type of amulet from Middle Eastern and North African cultures. The hamsa typically resembles an open palm with an eye in the middle. It is believed to offer protection against the evil eye.
