Revenants are the type of chimaera who have been resurrected into a new, constructed body at least once. They are contrasted with Naturals.

Into every battle, chimaera soldiers carry thuribles hanging from staffs. The incense smoke draws souls of slain chimaera away from their corpses, so they can be temporarily sealed within the thuribles. The souls are then transferred into a new, magically created body.
Brimstone uses human and animal teeth to create the bodies of revenants. The type of teeth used determines what aspects the body's appearance will inherit. Due to circumstances regarding Brimstone's supply of teeth, it is not always possible for a revenant to resurrect in a body similar to one they were originally born in. Gems such as diamonds and jade are sometimes added in order to make the body stronger. Asymmetry is not good in revenant necklaces. Each element is critical to the resulting body and the smallest flaw can be crippling. Revenants have hamsas tattooed on their palms.
