Wishes, in the universe of the Smoke & Bone series, can be obtained from Brimstone's Shop, usually in exchange for some teeth. They can physically manifest in the form of beads, such as those worn on Karou's necklace. Wishes, like currency, come in denominations: scuppy, shing, lucknow, gavriel, and bruxis. Scuppies are the least valuable wishes, while bruxis are the most valuable ones. However, unlike money, wishes cannot be combined to form stronger wishes.
